"Lose the bulky GPS, Add this to your pda/slim phone"
Pros: Extremely portable, great battery life, great maps
Cons: um, its small? I dunno. Oh, no batt indicator when softare is up on PDA
Summary: When I was looking for a gps for my laptop I ran into the "Garmin 10." Hmm looks good, so went to their website and only found the "mobile 10" (which is different). Did some research and found mixed reviews, asked some questions, and got a reply that people just like to B**** about new stuff and different mapping software. Whatever, I thought, I never really had a GPS and some of these guys have obviously been around it for many many years. So I bought it.
I was a little scared as I didnt know if the mapping software would work on my Moto Q, windows mobile is pretty crappy. But it does, and it works like a champ. I can even ask it to find me nearby food places, and it does just that. Hell it knows about restaraunts that I've never even heard of, and I've lived here for 5 years. All on my cell phone.
FYI the maps of about 5 different states took up 180 MB (including texas) which was one of the questions I had before purchasing.
The only problems I see is that addittional maps (eg. Europe) are pretty damn expensive, and there is no battery indicator when the software is up (there is a signal meter though).
I would highly reccomend a universal (or device specific, if your lucky enough) mount for the car, and a 12v charger as well for whatever mobile device its running on.
