"Junk compared to Garmin and Magellan"
on by 1kickerfishPros We thought it was reasonably priced until we found out an extra cable is required. At a cost of $25.
Cons They fail to tell you that the unit requires a proprietary cable (an extra $25) in order to update or download data from the internet. Real sneaky and cheesy way to get extra money out of parents that bought the unit. A USB connector would have been too
Summary Save money in the long run by buying the Garmin.

"Worked like a charm"
on by tooncesthecatPros Easy to use
Fun!
Simple to setup
Easy updates
Easy to keep track of findsCons No backlighting
Have to purchase their USB cable for updatesSummary Our first plunge into geocaching and this makes is fun and easy! Probably would recommend an advanced model after we get much better at this, but this makes it easy and inexpensive to get started!

"Don't leave home without it."
on by higgles22Pros Great fun where ever you go because all the cache sites are pre-programmed.
Cons More difficult caches (terrain or difficulty) are not included becuase typically they are not kid-friendly.
Summary Great product for travelling when you don't have time to log onto geocaching.com and just HAVE to do a geo-cache. However, if you look up a really fun one on geocaching.com, it isn't always included in the GeoMate jr.
