Description: The Garmin Etrex Legend is a 12-channel, general purpose global positioning device.Compared to other general purpose GPS receivers on the market, it is very inexpensive at around $130.
Pros: WAAS-ready GPS device accepts radio signals which can help increase accuracy of positioning data to within 3 meters.Share information, update database maps, and add programs using this receiver's serial computer connection.Tracklog function automatically creates a record of the path traveled and stores it as a series of points for later use.Safe in all weather, this unit is waterproof.

Suitability: A general purpose GPS receiver, suited for typical tracking and positioning tasks.Has an internal antenna which is desirable for activities where an external antenna would get in the way.This unit is lightweight, weighing in at 5.3 oz.
