I have the older model with 8 meg of memory and have added several topo maps into it with room left. Why don't you just use the goto function using the basemap already built in to your Legend? The memory was intended to load maps not already included in your gps. It works well that way because there is nothing that can be added into memory the the basemap doesn't already have.
