Description: The Garmin Forerunner 101 is a 12-channel, general purpose global positioning device.Compared to other general purpose GPS receivers on the market, it is very inexpensive at around $95.

Pros: Utilizes WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) technology to achieve an error margin of 3 meters or less.Safe in all weather, this unit is waterproof.

Cons: None noted, given available product data.

Suitability: A general purpose GPS receiver, suited for typical tracking and positioning tasks.Has an internal antenna which is desirable for activities where an external antenna would get in the way.This unit is very lightweight, weighing in at 1.9 oz.
