Good battery life, Easy to see while running (big clear screen), accurate GPS, easy too use buttons, good functions and screen options
Cons
Can't use as a regular watch. Problems with data transfer. Sometimes has trouble finding satellites but better than older models.

I got my Garmin 310XT the day before a marathon when my 305 broke down.Itt was so easy to get used to and I enjoyed the extra features like the Virtual Runner which allows you to see where you stand compared to your target pace.
The 310XT is exactly what you would expect the next generation of the 305 to be like. more durable, a few more features, better battery life and a little more comfortable to use.
I've encountered some problems with the USB Ant Stick data transfer system. but besides that have had no problem with my 310XT since getting it a year ago.
