"Major problem if it gets wet"
1.5 starson by smrbin97Pros: Works great for gathering data as long at it is not wet
Cons: You cannot use this for multi-sport. If the bezel gets wet, the unit will lock up. Wet from sweat alone will cause this problem.
Summary: Garmin was very unsupportive of my problem. They said that the unit was never marketed to be used in triathlons. I am basically out of luck. Almost a great product, but if you sweat, your functionality will be limited. Try another product.

Yeah I have to agree with the other responder. I'm 6'4, 175#, and have raced from 5Ks to Halfs with my 405 and trained in the Georgia heat and humidity and boy does that make you sweat! No problems here.
Note: I did a 5K in driving rain and rain DOES hamper the bezel sensitivity. -

If you sweat? I'm a 6'1", 235# man, and I sweat like crazy. I love my Forerunner, and it keeps me going and focused on the data through the "pain" of running. The user manual warns against swimming in the Forerunner... if you're a triathlete, purchase the 300 series, which is designed for that. For running and biking, the 400 series is GREAT. About the same size as my Nike watch, will do everything it did... and anything else too, other than cooking and cleaning.
