"Does What I Need"
Pros: Magellan Still Around, Works As Advertised
Cons: Ancient Compared To Newer GPS
Summary: I am still very happy with this Magellan GPS module. There is still support on this legacy Companion product. Other Handspring GPS vendors have fallen by the wayside.
The software is adequate for what I use it for. Used in conjunction with a MemPlug module, I am able to keep Marcosoft maps with me to move/swap into Handspring internal memory.
The Handspring Magellan GPS combo gets me close, I either use a PC based map program for specific street addresses or a Palm TX in a WiFi zone and Google mobile maps for the last few miles.
I have yet to experiment with Delorme 2007 maps for Palm as internal memory requirements are overwhelming for a Handspring.
Cold satellite acquisition is quick and hot is very fast.
Great for geocaching.
