"#1 choice for use off-roading."

Pros: Only GPS that uses actual USGS topo maps. Extreme accuracy. Seamless transfer of NG Topo maps with highlighted trails from my laptop. I can now see instantly if I make a wrong turn on the trail. Even my techno-phobic wife uses this GPS with ease.

Cons: Screen size is wonderful for hiking, but a larger screen version would be nice for those of us who drive & monitor the GPS at the same time.
Summary: If you want an extremely accurate mapping system to use while engaged in outdoor activities like hiking, 4 wheeling, fishing, hunting, or geo-caching, this unit is unbeatable when combined with the NG Topo maps. I've spent the past 3 years mapping 4 wheel drive accessible trails in the San Bernardino National Forest into the NG Topo series maps on my computer. I transfer those maps into the Triton 2000 before going out 4 wheeling. The Topo software works seamlessly with the Triton. I've owned & used mine for approximately 10 months now and I love it's operation. This is also one tough GPS unit. I've accidentally dropped it twice to the ground with no damage. It had also gotten wet one day while I had the top down on my Jeep and encountered a summer shower. This GPS with the Topo software is what I have been praying for over the past 3 years since I started my trail mapping project using NG Topo. Over the years I've spent good money on mapping software from DeLorme, Garmin & Magellan, but they were all digitally created, inaccurate & looked like a comic book when viewed on a computer or GPS. If you're looking for a GPS to use in your car while driving down the street, this unit is not for you, but if you're an outdoors type person and you demand accuracy from an off-road type GPS, the Triton 2000 could well be for you. It certainly is for me, especially when being used in conjunction with NG Topo maps.
