"There are too many issues that make this diffucult to use."

Pros: You can can use it as a photo viewer - buts is a GPS!

Cons: Connectivity (can't) and user interaction (clumsy menu+ buttons)

Summary: Not bad out of the box - it worked and i was able to use it almost immediately.

Noted that the back case plastic seems kind of cheap and brittle (One drop ?). The seals may be ok but the fit looks marginal and may not wear well. The USB cable is of good quality.

Tracking is good, but seems to drift a little too much from day-to-day. I Couldn't confirm as i cant get the data out.

Route entry is ok, But you have to do it from a non-map screen so you cant watch the map at the same time.

It's running in WinCE. Quick and dirty development for GUI but the responsiveness is pretty slow. It's got 64M or RAM but there is almost no space for data/other maps. But the graphics are decent with the installed default sparse map. Could not eval with a detailed map. The default map is pretty sparse and w/o the software and connectivity operational can get any more detail.

The PC software installs but that is about it. The are two apps that install and are supposed to compliment each other. Topo graphics were having problems.

I can't connect to the device to read data - Driver issue?? or device? It would be confusing for a non-PC savvy person to connect and use this.

What a POOR job of user centered design!!!! Gaahhh

How do you set the Time zone on this beast!? it's forces to EST?

It does not respond properly as a USB device (Linux) so you can't even get very far with Linux either (GPSBabel). I admit I was getting pretty jaded by the time i tried this - a last resort - and did not give it my all. But then WHY SHOULD I - I Paid for this to be usable and work.

This is going back and I feel completely ripped off by this = ship a product with so many basic flaws? It's worse than an Out-of-box failure as I spent MY TIME seeing if I COULD use it for what i needed.

Support? They are more confused that I am.

Good thing I bought it at Costco as they have a very good return policy.

    BYT: is discontinued! No wonder

In short. Don't bother. If you did? Good luck.
