"Pretty good card" on by gswonsn
Pros: Fairly cheap and fairly quick
Cons: Not the best and not the cheapest
Summary: This card is okay, but certainly not great. It is so much slower than the X1950XTX, but also half the price. It is adequate and nothing more.

"upper mid-range card at one time" on by xoltaros
Pros: PRO: thick copper heat sink plate on back-side. Quiet and cool. Vivid, crisp, video-imagery pastels.Blurries and jitters rare. Could get 3/4 slider on FSX in the day.Lol.
Cons: Cons: if used with low end cards 2.3 <Gb some occasional freezie issues[99% goes away with <sliders+ game restart ]..ATI has withdrew support for all Direct X 9 cards=bummer!!!!!!Stinks.Nvidia don't treat customers like that. ATI is great co.though
Summary: had mine for 2 1/2 yrs now. Could play all games w/3/4 slide-ees'.Con: Direct X 10 not supported. Also ATI has withdrew support for all Direct X 9 cards is the word. Mine has been acting like this may be the case -11/2010. IMO don't buy this card any longer [even discount!].
correction: should have read, "if used with low-end CPU's 2.3<Gb".....

"still holding up well" on by ramarc
Pros: good speed for the price
Cons: ati drivers
Summary: card is a good all-around midrange gamer. but ati's drivers suffered from an annoying flicker with dual monitors that didn't get fixed until v8.x!

"Good card for the mid-level gamer" on by golfingtigger
Pros: Okay price, internal crossfire connection, quiet.
Cons: Not DX10 compatible, large like most cards in this range.
Summary: ATI has done a good job of filling the niche for people like me. Their mid-level cards provide enough "oomph" without completely breaking the bank.
This card is a capable critter. It has the horsepower to get you through some quality sessions in most of the popular games on the market today. Should you want to take your system's capabilities up a notch, simply stick another one in your computer and fire up the crossfire (if you have a crossfire capable motherboard). Just watch out for the space. In my computer, I had to pull some acrobatic feats to get the power cable around to the back of the card, which was butting up against my hard drives.
My crossfire experience with this card was good, but I did not see the same performance gains like the reviewer did. It may be related to other components in my computer, though.
I think it's a great card that will hopefully be able to keep up as the market evolves with Vista and DirectX 10.
