"Greatest Performance - Dollar on the Market"4.5 starson by CrazyCoul2003
Pros: Runs quieter than expected
Cons: The card is shockingly large, be sure you have the room in your case first! Also, I had some driver issues with older games (i.e. Far Cry)
Summary: I've been hearing from some pretty angry early adopters of the other cards in the 8800 line (GTX, GTS) because this card has a performance / price ratio that I wouldn't have expected until at least summer 2008. It competes at just a hair under the GTX (sometimes besting it, though not often) and blows the GTS out of the water. Install was a snap in my Gateway, but the card is a behemoth, and it is a tight fit... due diligence in measuring your case first is recommended. I highly recommend the super-clocked version... the price difference is worth it. It came with Quake Enemy Territory, I didn't really care about that but the game is a good time nonetheless.
I don't have SLI capabilities (yet) but if you are looking for a pair of cards to rock any game out there, look no further.
Disclaimer: I have very little experience with ATI's newest cards, I haven't cared to check them out, I did shop heavily in the 8800 segment of nVidia and this is the best of the series. Plus you can hardly go wrong with nVidia.
