Summary: I upgraded to the 6600GT from an ATI X300SE. Even though both have 128mb of memory, the 6600gt blows the X300 out of the water. The GPU as well as the speed of the memory make a huge difference. I was debating between the 6600gt and the X700. Both were around the same price, but I took CNET's advice and got the 6600GT. I couldn't be happier. The video stress test on Counter-Stike: Source ran at 105fps on the highest settings at 1152x864 resolution.
