"Palm quality is trash and they don't acknowledge it." on
Summary: I have owned two palms and considering that they are almost guaranteed to fail a few days after the warranty is up then they are not worth buying. First I bought an M100. I wanted only simple features which was fine. One year later the unit just expires. Literally a few days after the warranty was up. When i called, the reconditioned unit would cost about $125 (more than i originally paid for the new unit) or they would cut me a "special deal" to upgrade to an M105 for $99. I realized that i was getting fleeced but figured maybe that was just a bad unit. I bought the M105. Now, after just over a year, the M105 has just crapped out. I swear they have a timed self-destruct device built into the machine. PALM SUCKS! They should be brought up on charges for this sort of fleecing people.

"palm m130 pilot" on by narn3049
Pros: IK THIS IS M100 SERIES- CLOSEST THING I COULD FIND
Cons: READ SUMMARY
Summary: Alright guys, today I have a Palm Pilot M130 PDA for me to review. I wasn't expecting this one- and I got it from a local sale that was going on. IDK (I don't know) if I envisioned/exaggerated more of what it could do- but I am going to list it again- as it is something that will not work for me. Alright- so I previously had used a Dell Axim X51V, and it was owned for a short time yes, but I owned other devices with Palm OS and was actually very happy with their functionality- so why do I dislike this.
Well, with devices nowadays, you need to have WIFI. I understand that I could probably by a card for that- . I was going to see if i could put some of my photos and contacts into it to have it as a data holder- but I decided that i have an phone for that. The next thing, is the most hard to use, under the screen thing that you write in GRAFFITI PAD This will display on the screen which you have written on the pad below. Now I have had a hardest time writing on that, I generally write good, so this shouldn't be a concern, but I could never get the right things I was writing to pop up.
The next thing, is the on-screen QWERTY is unbearably small, meaning that with the stylus you have to get into hard angles so I would probably get carpal-tunnel syndrome by using the keyboard for a long time.
And after a day of using, I wanted to clear what I had synced to it, the PDA would not clear! I had to clear all notes and contacts and such by hand which was hard as the screen had hard times even with calibration. Overall, I think I envisioned this as something it really was not. I would get it if you just need a simple pda, but if not save yourself and dont get. -
"Another great peice of Garbage" on by wdosg
Pros: Keeps u organize, and can take a beating
Cons: Out of date, out of style
Summary: This Palm can take a beating, and can take a fall. Not very stylish. Battery lasts if the black light is not used. Its pretty much old now and great for Nothing. If u have one throw it out!!!!!! dont even think about ripping someone off with this garbage

"reliable and rugged" on
Pros: batteries last long, simple to use, synchs w/ms outlook, takes a beating/keeps on ticking, will not lose info if batteries replaced at mid level. if batteries run low, synch to pc first, replace batteries, then synch again. synching always wise to do when
Cons: you need a serial port.if synching to laptop with no serial port, you will have to buy a serial to usb converter, about $30
