"It doesn't work with Windows XP!" on
Pros: Slim design. Easy to use. Works well with Windows 2000 Plenty of software available.
Cons: While using Windows 2000 I was a very happy Palm user but since going to XP my m515 serves no purpose other than a paperweight. What is the point of a PDA that doesn't sync to probably the most common OS in the world? If I work out the value of the time I

"stay away, terrible support" on
Summary: I purchased a m515, approximately 4 months after its purchase I was unable to hotsync anymore. Through my own work I was able to decipher that the problem was probably with the cradle and not my computer or the palm itself. When I contacted Palm, the first thing they wanted to do was sell me another warranty plan for about $45.00. After I said no thanks, they stated they would only help me if I paid them a $25.00 technical fee, and even then there was no guarantee they would be able solve my problem over the phone or at all. I find it very pathetic that an individual purchases a product and you can't even get help without paying more money if there is a problem with it. This will be the last palm I ever purchase.

"Defective Battery" on
Summary: My old m505 died when I was in Europe while recharging. I bought a m515 to replace it from Palm. After the initial charge, the battery wouldn't recharge. Returned it to Palm, went to a store and bought another one. Same exact problem. Exchanged it at the store for my 3rd m515. This time it charged but would discharge in minutes. Kept it off overnight and it ran out of battery by morning with no use. Returned it. Don't know what to do now. A friend who used to be a manager at Palm said she knew about battery problems with this model. She said it has to do with bad batches, ie. all the m515's shipped to the same store or region are from the same batch. If I can find one that is not defective, I'd keep it. BTW, been using Palms since the original 1MB Pilot and can't get by without one. I'd pay anything to get a m515 that works. Don't like the Tungston model.

"No support, no synch, no help from palm" on by chetlapa
Pros: Have not been able to sync the unit and therefore not able to use it. Not supported by vista 64. Support groups try to help, but legacy units are not supported by Palm. Hard to find phone support, and it costs too much. Unit and support are bad
Cons: Have not been able to sync the unit and therefore not able to use it. Not supported by vista 64. Support groups try to help, but legacy units are not supported by Palm. Hard to find phone support, and it costs too much. Unit and support are bad
