Palm Tungsten E

Pros: The Tungsten E is very intuitive for capture of PIM events, including mostly agenda items, contacts and todos. Once accustomed with it, it is VERY FAST to add contacts or calendar events with a minimum of keystrokes or graffiti writes.

Cons: Do not expect the new frills usually found on "modern" devices. No photos, bluetooth or wifi. Just simple USB. Also the battery life isn't long, but the new smartphones aren't better.

Summary: While it may be outdated now, I still use and love my old Palm Tungsten E for one big reason : it is very fast and does the simple job nicely. Sync with Outlook works as well, so it's possible to have just one agenda on both platforms. While many people may prefer Apple or smartphones, all the time management gurus agree to say you have to have only one agenda. For me, that's theTungsten E. I changed phones 5 times, each time they had incompatible agendas. The Tungsten E contains all my agenda items since years , and it has still memory for the next 5 years. What to expect more ?

One big advantage of the Palms is precisely that your contacts and agenda data are never lost ! You can sync with palm414/62 or outlook !!! I have plenty of backups of my palm content, I'm pretty sure I'll still have it in ten years...
