Pros Appearance, it does look good and that's about it.

Cons PAINFUL!!! Um, how is one supposed to talk for 7 hrs if it freaking feels like you're going to die??
Advertised "stealth mode" does not work.

Summary So I decided to go ahead and shop for a new Bluetooth headset. I am SO brand loyal that it is not even funny, if you build something good I'm there and I will be there if you continue to do so. Anyway, I did my homework, Cnet, CR, etc. I read some reviews that made me giggle with regards to being probed.

So I was very happy to see that Costo carried the HX1 and ever happier to see that the bundle came with the wall charger AND the car charger (love Costco).

To make a long story short, if you're in the market for one of these make sure you buy it from a place that wont give you grief if you want to return it (did I say I love Costco?)

To make a long story short here are the things I could not handle with this thing.
    1. I can not even start to explain the pain, I feel like (you know what) probing would be a cake walk compared to wearing this thing. And I tried ALL the little tips it comes with on both ears, doesn't make a difference.
    2. The ?stealth mode? is a JOKE, I tried it and no one can understand you.
    3. The most expensive out there for what??

If you don?t believe me like I said buy it from a place you can return it if you need to?.you have been warned :)

Pros Easy to wear - earhook and loops a good add on for those who do not like the Spring hooks (a Q7 feature from Last year). Stealth Mode (Bon Mic) is best noise cancelling technology out there, although sound quality needs some work.

Cons Stealth Mode can be unclear to listeners (unless proper insertion of mic is achieved)

Summary I have been on top of this technology since the Denmark - Based Nextlink introduced the HX1's Predecessor, the Invisio Q7. If you want to learn more - check out my Video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrFKuw1sdqg
You will find my review pretty interesting, as I am actually recoring my voice WITH the headset. If you have any questions, simply leave your comments on my video comment area. ENJOY!

  • "best one yet"
    on by alfaista

Pros Good for the very active user, good sound quality, all callers said the sound on their end was great

Cons wish it had some of the options that BlueAnt has with called id and answer, ignore. And, well, don't send it through the washer and dryer!

Summary I am very active, and have had a horrible, I repeat, HORRIBLE time finding a headset that stays put. I've been through every Jawbone, and one BlueAnt. The Plantronics Pro was great, but didn't go well with sunglasses and riding helmets. I don't want a full headset, again, too much stuff for what I do. This "spring" ear bud was the answer! I am looking for another one, or another earset that will fit as well as this one did.

  • "Good solid Bluetooth headset"
    on by smoky69101

Pros Big buttons compared to other headsets, very easy to use.

Cons Might not fit certain users with narrow or shallow ear canal.

Summary Overall this is a great headset and I'm very happy with it. The sound quality is great, battery life is good, and most importantly the main functions such as volume +/-, power, answer & hang-up have their own dedicated, easily accessible, button. As such this headset is very is easy to use compared to other headsets that have limited buttons (a big plus for people that like to be able to actually use their headset's functions while using it versus other headsets that you have to take off to figure out what's going on). Additionally you can still wear your sun glasses while using this headset.
Sound quality is very good (I haven't had anybody ask me if I'm using a headset or have them on speakerphone).

  • "Busted in two weeks"
    on by bilingualdiva

Pros Like everyone else who gave this headset a thumbs up it does what is says it does and does it very well. Was really getting into the device and was a bit skeptical when I first got it ( bluetooth#9) but it worked great. Until it broke. See cons!

Cons The head set hook arm broke off after the second day of use and after two weeks it stop working totally. All you can do with it is use it as a speaker. Also the ear bud thrusts deep into ear canal.

Summary Overall for me this headet was a waste of 40 bucks. While it worked for it's two week period it was great... but it was only two weeks and now it is useless as its intended use. Very dissappointed. Not sure if it is from where I bought it or if I was the unfortunate soul to buy the one that was a dud. I gave it a 2.5 out of five only because when it did work it worked very well. Hope others have a better run with it than I did. Had to buy a new one and went for the Motorola H15... hope this one lasts WAYYYYYYY longer!
