"Excellent average-priced SLEEK earphones"
5.0 starson by xu_ciPros: LOUD BASS, they're not kidding when they said these are bass-earphones, which may be your thing. Sound is clear, the mids are slightly muffled compared to the Klipsch S4s, and the highs are very clear.
Oh and did I mention I LOVE the flat cables?Cons: LOUD BASS, which are a bit too loud for me, the bass is so overpowering it subdues the mids and competes with the high notes, not the most fine-tuned listening experience.
Apparently the a-Jays Three is the LEAST bass-heavy of the range, be warned.Summary: Overall very nice earphones for the price. When I brought the Klipsch S4 earphones I got used to its excellently-tuned experience, so now the flaws in the a-Jays seem quite apparent.
However these are still one of the best earphones in the price range, might even be better than some more expensive options. The flat cables were the things that brought me - they are durable and tangle-free, saving myself 5 seconds of tantrum whenever I wish to use these. Having said that, the connection between the cable and the jack/earplugs are NOT reinforced, and reviews have claimed these are easy to break, still, better than those thin, flimsy stringy cables.
There are microphonics when the cable is rubbed against your clothes, but hardly noticeable during music. The earbuds offer secure and comfortable fit (to most), and can reduce up to 40dB of background noise, perfect for commuters, not so much for joggers, as the microphonics and the slightly heavier cable may not be suitable.
Sleek design, LOVE the flat cable, very good sound and well worth recommending.
