"Compared these with Sony and Sennheiser and THEY WON!"
on by armerarmerPros Crystal clear sound. 3 speakers in each ear to produce a true 5.1 surround sound. Lightweight. Comfortable.
Cons No automatic charging dock.
Summary I bought three sets of surround sound headphones - Sony DS3000, Sennheiser RS130, and the Acoustic Research AWD510. Sennheiser had a muffled sound. Sony had a clear sound but a very very slight echo. Acoustic Research won! Great set of heaphones.

"Junk not worth the money"
on by mrgilPros Sound was OK
Cons They broke after less than 2 yerars and connot be repaired. The plasitc is subject to aging and becomesvery brittle.
Summary The plastic they make these from is junk, it deteriorates over time and becomes very brittle, I constantly had to glue them together. I owned them since Feb 7 2009 and I threw them in the garbage where they belong on Dec 6th 2010, I just got tired of having to fix them constanly. I'm an adult and there are no childeren in the house. I'm the only one to ever use them and I am not rough on them. THEY ARE CRAP! er.... JUNK!

"Good sound for my use, lousy design, easily damaged"
on by wmahaffeyPros I am not an audiophile. The sound was very good for me and I enjoyed using the headphones.
Cons Poor design of the ear piece attachment to the headband.
Summary On the orginal set the headband broke with in three months. They repaced this set with no problem. The second had the exact same failure with 9 months. The swivel at the top of the ear piece where the headband attaches is not strong enough to support the weight of the ear piece.
