Summary: 20 years ago I was more of an audiophile- then marriage and kids led way to convenience and all the vinyl gave way to cassettes and then cds. The equipment I kept buying was more for convenience than audio quality. Lately I had been using one of my son's Ipod with OEM headphones- sound was okay but I hated the little wires getting snagged everytime I turned my head, exercised or sat down.
I read reviews on the all the bluetooth headsets and liked the fact that these were rated high on audio although some people complained of technical problems pairing. Actually the combination of Altec Lansing and Plantronics sounded good to me as they both are respected in their fields.
I charged the unit overnight after purchase. Next day I spent 10 minutes reading manual and another 10 fooling around with paring to my LG ENV2 phone. The next two hours were pure joy.
My taste are eclectic and I listen to everything from Rock n Roll to Jazz. I was excited to hear instruments and voices that had been lost all the years I was listening to inferior equipment.
All the controls work fine and took an hour to get use to. I've only had these one day and don't know how well they will hold up- but so far they are great and I have no complaints. Jerry Garcia and Miles Davis both sound great.
