  • "Buyers BEWARE! HORRIBLE Sound LEAK from Beats STUDIO!"
    0.5 stars
    on by mikecorrado

Pros: Great out-of-box experience and the look and feel of the headphones is really nice. The design is extremely cool and the fit over the ears is extremely comfortable. Love the case and set of cords it comes with. Very well done.

Cons: The bad... HORRIBLE SOUND LEAK. The worst of any headphones I've ever had. Really disappointed. Also around several places in my home I hear feedback without being connected to any of the cords. Unit is just on. EXPENSIVE for these oversights.

Summary: I bought into the hype and popularity of these Beat Studio headphones and after an OK day or so with them, I put them on my wife so she could hear them (trying to sell her on why I spend 300 bucks on them, to be shocked that they leaked so much sound, That I was blown away. It defeats the purpose of having a set of headphones in my opinion.. I should have known better. Most every Monster product I've owned from ear bud headphones to these Studio headphones has major issues.

Just wondering it the folks at Monster sit around in meetings and look at themselves and say "Well it only leaks sound at 50% or higher and it's OK if someone else hears everything clearly that you listen to" Are they nuts? Why would anyone buy headphones to privately listen to music and not be obnoxious around other innocent bystanders. Totally shocked and caught off guard. Totally sold on the marketing and packaging and fee really duped. My bad and I'll live with them but If I can get my money back from Best Buy I will. Looking for the clause in the receipt that suggests that if I'm not completely satisfied...

Really, I am a simple buyer with simple needs and when I want something like a set of headphones, I expect them to perform well and the way I expected.

Even worse, without being wireless, I can't even sit on my couch by my wireless home phone, without hearing static and interference. I can't say that it happens anywhere else but they are not even wireless. ***?

My Monster Beats ear buds I got for the gym fell apart and it took a have dozen rounds of BS with their support group and a letter to the president of Monster to get a response that something would get done.

You only hope a company can grow over time and learn from mistakes. Sadly Monster has been on the same path. Now instead of being envious of everyone I see with Beats headphones I will look at them and realize they have no clue. I guess I should have read the reviews on CNET before purchasing them.

I would highly recommend that people spend their hard earned money on Bose products. I've learned my final lesson about Monster products.
