Beats by Dre Studio (Black)

Pros: Well let's face it, they are pretty
Comfortable fit
Nice control set

Cons: Radio Frequency (WI-fi) induced noise
Amplifier noise when on
Can't run without batteries

Summary: Despite mixed reviews on these cans the look was cool and the design seemed like the sort of thing that would lend itself well to the traveling environment. They are comfortable to have on and adjust well to your head but there are no number of celebrity endorsements that will make Beats Studio sound good. Once powered the noise floor on the internal amplifier is audible and the system is subject to radio frequency interference, my Mac drives it nuts. The base response is moving and lives up well to the Beats name but the rest of the spectrum is muted and lacking any detail. For the money there are better units out there, mine went back to the store and it was not the first pair returned.
