  • "Amazing noise cancellation"
    3.5 stars

    Pros: Amazing noise cancellation
    Light
    Good customer support
    Crisp clear sound
    Comfy as it gets!
Great for planes, trains, and automobiles

Cons: Not compact by any means
For $300 not the sturdiest design
    Weird removable jack
    Doesn't play without batteries
    Bass is weak
    No Mic or volume rocker
    Thin cords

Summary: I have the Beats By Dre Solo HD, Klipsch s4, and these. The S4 headphones you really can't compare to the Bose or Beats because they are in ear but I will say they offer some features Bose forgot to put in at $300 (volume rocker and/ord mic). So let me start with the negatives. Is the sound worth $300? No, simply Bose are overrated in this aspect. Sennheiser and Sony make much better headphones at the studio level. At this price point the lack of a mic, volume rocker, thin cords, and the required batteries inorder to play music is sad. Also, the odd removable jack and bulky design doesn't help, but these headphones aren't all bad news because they offers the best noise cancellation I have ever heard. I have always found noise cancellation to be a huge gimmick kind of like 3D TV. The execution of noise cancellation in these headphones is spot on. Many users don't realize how much details they loose because of outside noise. With these headphones I hear all the details while they sit comfortably on my head and man are these things comfy. I use my Beats By Dre Solos when I want more bass and a little for portability because these things aren't small.

So my verdict, overrated, overpriced, but very cool. The whole battery aspect and the fact that they are huge turns me off but these things are awesome for blocking outside noises. It allows you to fully enjoy the details of the music. I see a lot of comments comparing them against the Beats by Dre line so if someone was choosing between these and the Beats I would go with these because Bose has an awesome trade in program and customer service and these give a better overall sound. If you want style go with the Beats.
