"Fool me twice, shame on me"1.0 starson by joe_subscriber
Pros: The sound quality is excellent
Cons: The quality of the construction is poor, the materials cheap, they don't stand up to ordinary ware.
Summary: Originally I bought a pair of the original Quiet Comfort headphones. Loved the sound quality, especially the round bass sound. Problem was, in a year the headphones started to fall apart. I talked with Bose on the phone. They told me that they had replaced that model with the present model, which they would sell me at a big discount if I sent back the old phones, so I did this. Again, the new phones had excellent sound, but again the have fallen apart. On both sides the plastic has snapped and needed to be fixed with super glue, so they no longer are adjustable. The material on the ear cuffs has had to be replaced twice in two years (at $50 a pop). In brief, for an expensive product, the materials and workmanship is as shoddy as one would expect from a cheap product. I never will buy again from this company unless I am much richer than I am now. At $300 for these headphones, one shouldn't receive a disposable product. Having been disappointed in the same way twice, I won't get fooled again. And by the way, I'm a 61 year old man who doesn't treat these headphones with the sort of abuse that a teen ager might. Great sound, shoddy materials. I'm looking for something else now. I recommend that people do not buy this product. Rating: DO NOT BUY.
