  • "Beautifully Warm Sounding and Comfortable Headphones"
    5.0 stars
    on by ajohnmcc

Pros: Warm, natural EQ. No exaggerated frequencies
Comfortable for long period of time / lightweight
    Beautiful design
    Easy-to-use, understated control talk design
Very portable yet these do not sacrifice audio quality
    Small, hard-shell case

Cons: After a few hours, ear pads begin to hurt ears (short moments of rest can cure this)

Summary: The B&W P3 headphones reproduce sound impeccably. I think that they marry sound and portability perfectly so that I can real very relaxed at work. In fact, these have actually helped me to stay focused at work, whereas other headphones have distracted me and their fabricated equalizations have hurt my ears.

So, I have to recommend these headphones to anyone who wants both portability and great sound. The hard case allows for ease in travel (toss it in your bag, do have to worry about the things breaking) while the light weight makes you forget that they are on after a while.

The design is flawless. They look elegant and function perfectly. The magnetic ear cups do not fall off and the acoustic fabric looks beautiful while transmitting sound perfectly (in spite of one Youtube reviewer's naysaying).

I love the control talk on these as well. Other headphones make a big deal out of the control talk by making it shiny or adding a logo to it. Here, it's understated in appearance, made of what feels like quality material (possibly metal) and easy-to use since you can feel when you've clicked it and you can easily tell where the center is without having to look at it.

Reviewers who described the sound as warm hit it spot on. Yet, unlike many mid to bass-heavy headphones, the warmness here feels like a spa on your ears. The sound feels as if it comes from a full room, for a real escape, wherever you are and you can still here some ambient noise to keep track of your surroundings.

    Truly the perfect travel headphones.
