Summary If you want to enjoy crystal clear music at an affordable price, these are an excellent choice. I thoroughly enjoy these earphones. On ariline flights, they effectively block out most outside noise, allowing you to enjoy music at a normal volume. The base response is definitely not as pronounced as an over-the-ear variety, but I find it very natural and sufficient. If you want deep, pounding base, these are not for you. Also,you may have difficulty with fit since these need to be placed inside your ear canal. However, I found no problems with this. Simply moisten your ear and earphone tip, and they will slip right in. I have a Sansa MP3 player and these earphones are far superior than the ones provided with my player. My daughter has an IPOD Nano and she stole my Etymotic after the first time she used them. She preferred these even over her Sony noise reduction headphones. If you want a great sounding isolating headphone and in-ear fit is not an issue, nor do you have the need for excessive base, these earphones are an excellent value.

Summary This is my first in-ear, noise cancelling ear buds. The er-6i works as advertised. I wear this mostly at the gym and it's great for cancelling the music playing over the PA system. Works great when mowing the yard or any environment to block out any noise. I haven't tested these while flying, but I will this Christmas.

I was surprised how comfortable these ear buds are. I anticipated "ear fatigue" but I've not experienced that yet.

When the cords touch you can hear them and that can be annoying if there's a lot of movement, it comes with a clip.

These are not great in windy environments, if you’re a cyclist or like it run outdoors, you’ll hear quite a bit of wind noise; if that's important I would look elsewhere.

I’m pleased with the sound. I’m not an audiophile by any means, but I’ve heard sounds and background vocals with these ear buds that I hadn’t heard before. Songs I’ve had for years and I’ll wonder why I never heard that before. Great set of ear buds, I’m well pleased.
