    Pros: I bought the ER-6's a few years ago. Like other people here, when I first wore them, they "lacked bass". I called the retailer and I learned that I hadn't put them in my ears correctly. You HAVE to "read the friendly manual" to grock the idea that you hav

    My experience: these headphones produce far more volume than my other headphones, meaning I have to turn the volume down before using them or it'll blow my head off. Thus, I am confused about the recommendation for an amplifier.<br><br>PS - Etymotics recommends an amplifier for the ER-4S, but the ER-6i has plenty of kick without amplification.
