"fantastic sound, comfortable and"4.5 starson by dwnelson
Pros: great sound, excellent isolation, small and comfortable
Cons: a bit pricey
Summary: I have gone through numerous pairs of cheaper headphones over the years, and these are by far the best sound I have ever gotten out of earbuds. There's a lot more subtlety, especially in the midrange. The isolation is excellent, and they are very comfortable in my ears (I'm a 5'10" male). The wires can get tangled, but if you wrap the buds around two fingers, you can use the clip to bind it together, which eliminates tangling. Speaking of the clip, it is excellent and very strong. I almost threw the thing away when I got it, but now I find it indispensable. If you search around online, you can find this pair as low as $80 (Buy.com had some deals a month ago). I have gone through MANY pair of headphones before the ER-6i's, and I wish I had just plunked down the cash right away and done it right the first time. I've had two pair of the Sony MDR-EX51's, and they have BOTH gone bad within 6 months - there went $80. Plus, these ER-6i's sound better! Do it right the first time. My only wish was that the ER-6i's would come in black (the regular ER-6's, which are black, have less bass than the ER-6i's). I don't particularly care for the "I have an iPod and I want everyone to know it" look of the white earbuds.
