"Simply the best headphones i've ever tried or owned !!!"5.0 starson by binggy
Pros: Superb sound quality across all ranges, light, comfortable, long cable
Cons: Not very portable
Summary: I spend approximately 2 hours a day listening to music as a form of relaxation after a good day's work. To listen to my music at enjoyable levels, I always had to rely on my big speaker set up ... but not anymore ever since I got the SR60.
The sound quality is nothing short of incredible. Lows, mids and highs are all excellently and clearly represented.
The SR60 comes with a relatively long cord and some have noted their displeasure with it. Personally, I find it a big plus as it affords me the option of using the headphones with my stereo while laying comfortably on the bed or sofa. On the go, it's trickier but I either just roll up the cord and stick it in a pant pocket or I use my trusty Philips SHE-9500 in-ear headphones.
The sound clarity has been excellent when paired with most any MP3 player i've tried and experience has been equally satisfying when used with the Palm Zire 31 and Tungsten E. Another favorite toy of mine is the Sony PSP which I use mostly for listening to music and watching videos on the go. A major complaint I have on the PSP is how it disappointingly doesn't have enough juice to crank out loud sound. On the PSP, the SR60 sounds pretty much the same as the Philips SHE9500 so make sure your music playing device has enough cojones.
On comfort, I consider the SR60 as one of the most comfortable i've owned (I currently own 7 headphones)
Aesthetically, I love them but I also agree that it won't appeal to everyone. However, anybody who feels "uncool" by any type of headphones probably has some serious self-esteem issues.
I put great value and importance to my music listening time and I can't thank Grado Labs enough for providing us with inexpensive headphones that offer such distinctive music quality normally only found in headphones costing upwards of $500.
