"Perfect for songs with heavy bass/sub bass."
on by dahaka128Pros Heavy hitting bass and sub bass. Clarity is superb. Sturdy outside construction.
Cons $100. My $15 sony deep bass headphones sounded better in relation to clarity but these puppies have good sub bass
Summary If you listen to rock music, buy something else

"Great Sound, Poor Quality, nonexistent customer service"
on by cj71Pros I-beats have a great look to them and the sound is incredible. Out of the box, they seem like a durable set of headphones.
Cons POOR QUALITY and NON-EXISTENT Customer service!!! The control-talk function stopped working after two-weeks. I have tried twice to email monster customer service, and have gotten no response. Phone calls seem to go to a voice-mail black hole.
Summary If you want a great-looking pair of headphones with poor quality that the company will take no accountability for, then I-beats are for you...
Monster Customer Service, if you are reading this review, please give me a way to get in contact with your customer care (other than email, I've tried that twice already with no follow-up response after the initial "we have received your email and somebody will contact you"). The phone always goes to Vmail and despite leaving several messages, I have yet to be contacted. I have never reviewed a product, but decided I had no other recourse than to warn potential customers that despite claims from Monster that they guarantee the quality of their product, it has yet to be seen. -
"GREAT BASS!! Horrible quality after only two months!!"
on by The_Architect44Pros Fit is excellent and they have solid sound isolation. The bass is incredible for an ear bud! When they're working they're excellent.
Cons Build quality is crap. NO 100+ dollar headphone should go out after 2 months of simple office listening.
Summary I really enjoyed these when I first got them and was ready to get the studio model for home until I started experiencing issues. It started as a "fizzling out" sound in the left ear. A simple unplug and replug would solve this. Now, I've lost nearly all, to total (depends on how the headphones are feeling that day)sound in the right ear. This seems to be a widespread problem with iBeats along with shoddy build quality. This may be why Dre and Monster parted ways. I will be returning these this week with hope of receiving a new pair. I've done my very best to take care of them always storing them in their case after use. I've never removed them via the wire but only by the plug and the overall condition relays my meticulous care. As I said before, I expect much more from a 100+ set of headphones. As for now, the studio's are on hold. Not sinking 400 into a brand that is so very flawed.

"Great earbuds if you can afford them."
on by kailuaruggsPros Great sounding earbuds. Bass is near perfect. Iphone compatible. Can control Iphone with button on cord. Voice commands work with earbuds. Almost no problem with cords getting tangled up. Comes with a dozen or so earbud tips.
Cons Price is up there. Not everyone can afford the 99 to 140 price range. Finding the right size earbud that doesn't fall out can take some time.
Summary I have owned Seinheiser's, Ludacrious's Soul SL99, and many different skull candies, and I can honestly say by far that these are my favorite not just for sound but quality of make and compatability with Iphone.
After a few months they started acting sketchy. One earbud losing volume so I took them back right away!!! For that money Im glad I did, the ear buds I bought sound better right off the start see my review for the Klipsch s4i for more info....

"Fantastic headphones for a great price."
on by TronDiedForYourFlynnsPros Bass, Durability, noise isolation
Cons ControlTalk doesn't work with my android or zune
Summary I received these earbuds for xmas last year. I have had no issues with the build quality whatsoever and I use these at least a few hours a day. I listen to a lot of electronic music, everything from Drum and Bass to Trance to Industrial. I like a lot of bass and these headphones deliver that very well. When using them with either my laptop or Zune, the quality of sound is fantastic. The bass does not drown any of the other sound out, even with my Bass boosted. I would definitely recommend these, they have served me very well. The iBeats come with these three tiered ear cushions adding a whole new level to the noise isolation, and this is probably my favorite feature. Also, the carrying case is pretty cool too and very convenient.
