"These are the earphones to get. And this is why.."4.5 starson by leemahi
Pros: Light, sound fantastic, easy to use, they fit good, very stylish.
Cons: Fragile like their previous model the JF3. Some are defective, issues with sound quality. Battery may not last 8 hrs. Battery depletion anxiety syndrome, BDAS, or badass. I feel pretty badass wearing these.
Summary: I don't like these harsh harsh reviews. Yes, they had defective units. I had the jf3s and one earpiece turned off exactly one year when the warranty ended. I got half my money back in store credit. My first pair of bluebuds the charge would last 5 hours, maybe less, and after repeated testing, I exchanged it to best buy. But what I'm getting at is that the makers of this headset did something no Bluetooth headset has ever done, and that was to get perfect audio quality AND be light weight AND have an extremely long battery life, as well as being affordable and stylish. The battery life is something of science fiction. This battery must be tiny! It charges in < 2 hrs, and lasts 7-8 hours. The problem with all battles though is they have a life expectancy. I can't be sure. I have little hope ill still want to use these 2 years from now because the battery may dry up. Maybe not. But even then the tech is only going to get better, and right now, for what it is, this is the future.
The sound is crisp rich, the bass is just right. The negative is on the highs, I hear a high pitch shrill sorta that not really noticeable on bass heavy music, but with girls singing, or electric guitars, I get fatigued and have to take them off for a bit. This is totally subjective as I might have sensitive hearing. I have never heard this complaint before. I think they are doing something like simulating those sounds in some sort of battery preserving octave that rattles in your ear canal because they earphones are sealed in your ear.
They are easy to pair, intuitive to use, quick to charge, the white version looks classy. I am worried every time I charge these, they will decrease in charge, even though that didn't happen with my one year with the jf3s. I am afraid I'm going to break them, because they have a high failure rate.
These are the best in the market. Jaybird isn't making money making defective items, so eventually the technology will get better, and I could only imagine how small the could make these. I really love these headphones. I'll be sure to report back when they fail, in like 3 months from now. Lol
