"One of the very best ear-canal headphones. Period."
Pros: Big sounding headphones with spectacular soundstage presentation that no other current top ear-canal headphone can match. Excellent clarity and detail in treble and mid-range. Full bass extension. Speed and rhythm also first rate. Ultra comfortable.
Cons: As laid out in CNET's review, bass detail is at times not as good as other top-of the-line models from Shure, UE, or Etymotic.
Summary: With the uncanning ability to throw a huge and wide soundfield with solid imaging that totally envelopes the listener, the Image truly lives up its' name. While many review focus mostly on specific areas of performance such as treble, midrange, and bass, what is most important is the headphone's overall ability to give a complete "audio picture" of the music. In this respect, the Image does a better job than any other current top ear-canal headphones. Highly recommended.
