Klipsch Image S4

Pros: Amazing sound quality (please read bottom-line summary for a detailed review), sound isolation seems comparable to noise-cancelling, extremely comfortable and lightweight, sleek color and design style.

Cons: The only slight cons I found would be the quality of the wire and Altoid-quality carrying tin. The wire does not seem that durable, however, it does not seem like it will fray. Not a huge issue if you keep it in the Altoid case LOL.

Summary: The bottom line for these headphones: AMAZING! I feel like I scammed someone paying only $79.99!

Just to let you know, I am an audiophile, comparing these headphones to the top over-the-ear headphones on the market. I was totally skeptical of the amazing ratings provided by Cnet. To my surprise, I would say that the sound quality on the Klipsch Image S4 are better than most over-the-ear and in-ear headphones. You might say that this is an absurd statement, but I will explain why I justify this claim.

The Image S4 have a magical ability to get the PERFECT amount of bass production for any song. I always start the bass test on new headphones with various R&B and Hip-Hop songs. Surprisingly, the Image S4 produced some sweet bass for every song. It was not overbearing, however it was definitely ear popping. I found that most headphones cannot produce the correct bass on rock songs, so I tested all of my rock albums. The bass was perfect. Nice bass, perfectly preserving the sound quality. If I continue explaining, every genre, including dance, metal, country, etc. had perfect bass production for a music lover of that genre.

Each song's clarity was amazing through these earphones. The bass does not interfere with the treble and clarity of the song at all. I heard new notes that I heard some trouble recognizing on some top over-the-ear headphones! At times, I would look around because I thought that there was an external noise. To my surprise, these earphones were producing sounds that only the best headphones could produce!

If I keep telling you how amazing the sound quality is, I might be here for hours! Basically, the Image S4 have the sound quality of a pair of Bose QuietComfort or high-end Sennheisers, with perfect bass production every time.

The price tag is only $79.99. The Image S2 are only $49.99, but the sound quality differences are worth more than $30. I would not sacrifice any of this sound quality, even if the difference was $100. I spent literally 2 weeks searching for amazing over-the-ear headphones. I thought all hope was lost when $300+ headphones even had some sound flaws. Comically, I tested the Image S4 as a last resort. These are an amazing choice and value.
