Koss Isolating Earbud (Ebony)

In my honest opinion, I would rather have these plugs over ANYTHING else. I wish I could give everyone a pair, just so they can see what they are missing out on. The comfort, style & most of all the sound is superb. I've had this pair for 3 years Christmas & they still work just as good as the day I opened them up. KOSS could charge more for these & it would still be worth it! With the way things keep going up in price, I'm sure it won't be long before they do go up, so get to buying yours now.

These buds are pretty nice, they have a rich sound and the bass is realy a plus. The buds sometimes has too much bass and cover up the majority of the music and all you will hear is a pretty fly drum beat. Adjusting the EQ on your device, however, can improve the soud tonality and general quality. The "Y" of the cable is made for a behind-the-head design and is not very popular with many users. The technical specs of the buds are rated for 16HZ-20000HZ but when tested with low frequency audio, the rating sounds more like a 50HZ-20000HZ. Anything lower and you will hear nothing more than a sputter almost as if it wants to play it. The Impedance is pretty low so you can use it on a variety of different players without wory if the sound won't be up to par. They do an awesome job of isolating sound. I had and incident where I was walking in traffic, and I couldn't hear any vehicals comming, whether or not if they honked at me, I still couldn't hear anything. So these buds will block out almost anything. The included silicone earbud pads range in sizes large to small and they do a great job fitting my ears, but there are many that state that they don't fit their ears. The of course can be solved by changing them with seperate pads you can find from other earbuds that existingly fit your ears, or buy those pads seperately. Basicly they are worth the price paid for and are a good choice for replacing broken or undesired headphones/earbuds.
