"Compact, strong, superb headphones!"5.0 starson by e-ke
Pros: -Great sound
(nice rich bass)
(I've used in mild rain and pulled the cord many times by accident)
(no painfull ear pressure after long use)
-Looks, if you're in to the retro styling
-Open back design
Cons: -Open back design can be a con for some people, it does let some noise in/out, but its a pro for me, couse I use them on my bicycle.
-The iron headband can pull a hair or 2, especially when you put them down you'r neck to listen/talk to someone.
Summary: I kind of fell in love with the sound of koss ever since I bought me a pair of ks75 clips.
But they broke and I bought me a pair op portapro's, here in belgium it costs me 75euro's couse almost no dealer knows the brand (and electronics are expensive over here), but hey, they are worth every penny.
I use them on a daily bases on my bicycle, they've seen some rain, and they stil work fine.
I even had my laptop at max volume playing trough them (forgot to lower the volume).
Walked away with the plug stil in, violently pulling the cord.
I even dropped them several times.
And they just do not break!
So if you're looking for a pair of good, on the road headphones, these are the ones to go for.
They come with a (fake)leather bag to store them in, but I always put them in a hard case too to prevent them getting crushed by me careless carrying them around in my backpack.
They had a bit of a rattle on the bass once, but I fixed it by removing the cushion, get a few hairs out, and put the cushion back.
You might have to do this after using for a while.
The sliders on left and right enable you to change pressure between the ear and the coushion that sits above the ear, the settings depends on taste.
It sounds a bit warmer with more pressure on the ears.
(the coushions might put a strange bend in your hair when worn on wet hair or when worn a long period of time, just to mention the details)
Thats all of it I think.
I enjoy using them every single day.
And maby if you want some good sound for on the road as well as at home, they'll suit you fine too.
