"My favorite brand of head phones"
on by dhomstadPros Tight fit, solid bass, loud as balls
Cons Took a while to get used to the feel of the head phones
Summary These head phones are my favorite. I bought a pair a couple years back for like $20, fell in love, and used them until one of the electrical wires failed from normal use/abuse. I recently went into Menards and saw these puppies on the shelf and bought them despite having a pair of Skull Candy's Smokin' Buds that I already use. Just plugged these in to my Tmobile mytouch 3g and tested them out with some Mt Eden. Oh my gosh!!! These head phones have no active noise cancelling but once you Plug your ears, you're in your own zone.

"Great Sound Quality"
on by bigred510Pros The bass is ridiculous.
Great sound quality.Cons Plugs don't fit smaller ear canals without some work.

"Why are these headphones marketed?"
on by mscmabPros Earplug design blocks out ambient noise and fits snuggly
Cons The cord seems to be coated with an adhesive such that it tangles easily. The mute button is overly sensitive engages with the slightest touch (or gust of wind).
Summary I know this these are low-end earphones, but they are made by the "first name in earphone design." There is no excuse for such poor workmanship and material.
The mute button actually needs to be tapped in order to get it to fully disengage and instead of a carrying case, they use "twist-ties" to keep the cord from invading your space. Would it really have cost that much more to make a good pair of earphones? -
"Very Cheap Sounding and Uncomfortable"
on by earbudssuckPros None. Don't Waste your money on these earbuds.
Cons Don't waste your money on these earbuds. Uncomfortable, poor construction and worst of all horrible sound.
Summary The sound on these earbuds is horrible. I have bought earbuds at the 99 Cent Store that sound better at 1/10th of the cost. If you are looking for cheap earbuds look elsewhere. The original Ipod earbuds are much better, as are the JVC and Sony $10 equivalents. Out of the last 3 or 4 sets of replacement earbuds purchased, these were some of the most disappointing earbuds I have tried.
You have to really push these into your ear to get any sort of decent sound. However, when you do that they end up being very uncomfortable. It is also a pain to push them in and you will quickly know if you have any wax in your ear when you remove them.
Also,if these earbuds are not pushed in all of the way, the sound is very shrill and tinny with no bass. They end up sounding like a cheap transistor radio. Overall, not the best choice if you like easy use and good sound. You are either better spending more money on a better pair, or going with a traditional earbud for the same price. -
"Will play nearly flat to 30hz!!!!!!!"
on by erh7771Pros Incredible flat response
Cons Hurts my ears after 4 hours, will addict you to infrasonics
Summary Don't listen to these earphones if you have 2000$ home speakers and they don't play flat to 30hz at ~90 AND 115dbs, you'll get made...ask me how I know :}
