"DOA, Terrible customer service"

0.5 stars  | on by windsor2

Pros

I liked the original hype, so I bought a pair

Cons

Build quality, design, customer support

Summary

Avoid Maximo. Mine didn't work with the iPhone, so I sent them back via their RMA process - never got them back. And Customer Service does not respond.

"Excellent sound - especially for the price!"

5 stars  | on by rranger1

Pros

These have great fidelity, with particularly good low end! They're also very good at blocking out external sounds. The price was very good, and I can't imagine finding a better set of buds in this price range. They're better than stock iPhone buds.

Cons

None that I can think of. I've had these for over two months, and they're still going strong. The cord is very good, and the extension cord gives them great length.

Summary

They're a little muddier than my Sennheiser MX 75s, but then they are much easier to wear, stay in the ear better, and don't have the Sennheiser's annoying cord issues.

These are keepers and - should they break - I'll probably order another pair (I could get five of these for one set of Shure buds!)

"Outstanding !! Fantastic "all around" headphones !!"

5 stars  | on by spiderfreak80

Pros

Lightweight, great looking, outstanding frequency response from top to bottom.
Bass is excellent without being boomy. Highs are great, but it is the accurate
midrange which is especially great for jazz, pop, vocals, etc.

Cons

Though I have not had a problem yet, the wiring is very thin. I bought my son
the iM-490's and the right channel went out within a month due to the wire
connection at the plug end. Mine are fine, but I am very careful with them.

Summary

I like these SO much that I am looking at taking some aftermarket "shrink wrap" that is rubberized and beefing up the wiring support at the base of the plug.
