"THESE HAVE SERIOUS RELIABILITY PROBLEMS"
Pros: Very good bass that is deep, smooth and mellow.
Cons: Looks like these EX71's are very prone to failure.
Summary: My right ear-bud failed after only about 8 hours of use. The sound level dropped considerably below that of the left one. I had to return it to Sony at Laredo TX at my own expense, and a cost of almost $10. It is a major pain to have to repackage, get all of the paper work, pack it for shipping, find a UPS location. It is not my fault that the thing crapped out. I should have bought it a local retailer so I could have taken it back for refund or exchange for a new one.
