Pros Amazing detailed mids, durable cable, Great warranty

Cons Treble roll-off(Could be a pro), not for basslovers

Summary First of, the A151 is a balanced armature earphone. For most people, this will be the first balanced armature driver they have ever had. Balanced armature earphones are generally known for having fantastic mids, detailed highs and a low amount of bass. This is due to how a dynamic driver can move more air then a typical balanced armature earphone. In this sense, the ME A151 is a fantastic example of a balanced armature headphone. It has absolutely fantastically detailed and full mids. Quite frankly, it has the best mids out of any headphone near this price range. The highs are interesting. What exists of the highs are good and detailed. However, the A151 has a pretty sharp treble roll off. This is GREAT if you find highs to be fatiguing or have any kind of ear condition. For treble lovers though, it's not recommended. The bass on the A151s are actually pretty good. They're not for basslovers but the bass is detailed and defined. For a balanced armature, it's very good.

I have never been disappointed in the amount of accessories MEelectronics offers and this earphone is no different. The A151 comes with the wide variety of tips, tri, bi and single flange tips in many different sizes. The cable is twisted to add further strength and the earphones, while plastic, appear to be very durable. I'm not a fan of the straight plug but I understand that many others are. The plug appears to be fairly standard and can take quite a bit of abuse.

Do I recommend that you purchase these? Yes. These are fantastic earphones BUT I really advise you to look into the weaknesses of the headphones and see if they work for you. I personally love these.

  • "Best Balaced Armature IEMs for around $50"
    on by Cozman99

Pros Very comfortable with 5 sets of silicon ear tips to chose from. Build quality is excellent. The sound is slightly warm and very pleasing. The sound reproduction is very accurate, clear and balanced with tight bass. I never get tired listening to these fo

Cons They could use a little more punch in the bass range. I would preferred a right angle plug.

Summary If you like accurate balanced sound without the boominess then these are the best IEM's under $75. They are a bargain if you can get them on sale for $50.

  • "The best IEM MEE has put out to date"
    on by dz1endobry

Pros From the first day with these I have been very pleased with their sound. They have become my new number one for all genres. The sound is very clear and balanced, They sound great listening to classical but also excel with vocal, acoustic, rock, even drum

Cons I wish I could have started my search for the perfect IEM with the A151 rather then finishing with them.
