Summary: If these are your first experienced with in-ear phones these are a great choice. First to get the best sound you need a perfect seal. Experimenting with the different tips should result in a satisfactory seal. Follow the directions that come with the Turbines. If all else fails and they don't stay put with your level of activity or they're still uncomfortable, Comply t-400 tips will solve any issue with fit and slightly temper the bass. These have wonderful bass and work best when not deeply inserted and still offer very good isolation from external noise. They get better with use. Burning in happens with normal use it just takes a bit longer than "forcing burn in" and generally results with the best sound for the type of music the owner prefers. The cable is the weak link, I'd rather not have a straight jack and I'd like to see better strain relief for the money but I've had no issues so far after nearly a year of regular use. I am careful and most of my listening is done sitting or walking. The overall sound is fun, leaning towards strong bass and strong treble with mids being clear and not too forward or recessed. This is no minor trick and Monster has really succeeded delivering a pleasant enjoyable and fun sound. They are sensitive enough to be driven off the cliff by any audio player and with a good player they're nice at subdued volumes with little to no distortion with increased insane volumes. They can be worn behind the ear or with a cable clip to limit microphonics but with any in ear you're going to hear yourself walk, chew, etc. due to bone conduction. After a while you just tune it out. While touted as in ear speakers by Monster (and they are iddy biddy dynamic speakers in fact) your music is felt to be heard in your head and sound stage isn't the same as listening to room speakers or with good headphones. It's different but agreeable. I'm listening with mine as I write this review and enjoying the heck out of them.
