"Very Cheap Plastic"
2.5 starson by rickypixPros: Comfortable until it broke
Cons: Bad stress points
Summary: The electronics are useless if the case is cheap. The convenience of being able to fold it up and take it on a plane, for instance, was negated by the cheap plastic joints quickly disintegrating. The molding to attach the screws snapped off. The battery could not be changed because the plastic slider unlocking the battery compartment split and was useless.

I agree with Ricky's opinion.<br>I purchased Phillips noise cancelling headphones at Bestbuy in March 2005. I used them frequently on a treadmill to cancel the noise and the noise cancelling features worked well. I have also used them on several flights and found that they worked well. But after a year the integrity of the plastic components started failing. Since the warranty was expired, I started using duct tape and paper clips to hold them together. This morning (July 2008)one of the plastic brackets holding one of the phones broke completely. No further repairs are practical, so they are toast.

I had mine for about a year, and they were perfect. They did get beat up quite a bit, being in my backpack to and from school everyday. Only within the last month they started falling apart, the hinges broke and the noise cancelling stopped working.
