Pros + really good sound quality for over-the-ear headphones
+ small design and not flashy or showy.
Cons - hurt your hears after using for a while, though I have that problem with all headphones.
Summary So I've been looking for headphones for my brother for christmas. I thought about it and he has replaced his headphones about 5 or 6 times in the past three years. Just so you know my brother has replaced mainly sony headphones and he is NEVER getting another sony headphone again and I would agree and would not buy those either. For that whole time I have had the same pair of phillips headphones. So that tells you that the quality is pretty good. I really enjoy the sound quality too. Wearing them, I am surprised how good the sound is every time I listen, especially for their size and price. The only issue with the sound is that the sound is easily heard by people who aren't wearing the headphones but, if you look at it, it's part of the design, the little hole thing. The only other problem I have is that they tend to hurt, but that plateaus, is bearable, and I get that with all headphones.
So all in all, for the money, GET THESE HEADPHONES. Especially if you are looking for a cheaper set that aren't flashy and tacky, like skullcandy though they do have good sound quality I believe. Regardless, these have lasted me a while and don't show any signs of wear and tear and basically I love them. Hopefully you will too.
P.S. Sorry the review is kind of choppy, I threw in my ideas as they came to me.
Pros Decent sound overall, great price, stay in place when running
Cons the bud is intrusive and hurts like hell after about 30 minutes.
Summary I had a set of Sony MDR J11Gs that a friend gave me. He actually got them as a promo gift for signing up for a Sear's Charge Card or some stuff. These things were great for the gym and running but after almost a year, after a particularly long sweaty run, the left ear went deaf. So I wandered into FYE and snagged these Pillips SHS3200. I poppe them in on the subway home and after about 20 to 30 minutes I repackaged them, taped the reciept to them and took them back on the very next commute!!! The bud was intrusive and hurt like hell after about 20 minutes. it was like sticking a dime in your ear canal. I have Bose QC3s for the home but on the commute and when running and such...I am going back to the Sonys!
