"Superior sound and performance"

5 stars  | on by emm333errd33

Pros

Passive system to hear environmental sounds if turned down but feel amplified (more volume than everything else I've tried). Full range, crisp hi's, good mids, full lows. Best in-ear phones owned. Can't find headphones as good as these, even Bose.

Cons

Silicone ear pieces wear out, crack fall off quicker than the rest of the product degrades. Philips stopped making them and the "new replacement models" are inferior in sound quality with lower volume and muddier overtones.

Summary

Philips should re-release with an improved earpiece design similar to Senheiser or Bose with the gel ear barb. Philips should re-release with an improved earpiece design similar to Senheiser or Bose with the gel ear barb. Asymetrical, behind the neck design ideal for sports activities (running, gym, biking, hiking, etc). This product simply snuffs other "high end" manufacturer's products and much higher priced headphones. I bought two pairs over a couple years at around $25 each from Target I believe. Disappointing they're $50 on ebay now. Someone knows their value. I contacted Philips for additional earbud pieces and they tried sending me another product that was their replacement and they sucked. I took the ear pieces off, put them on my old models and returned the new plastic junk they sent, with a note letting them know why. I've overspent on Bose trying to get the same sound quality and there is simply no comparison. Returning the Bose and looking for a comparable replacement without breaking the bank.

"Midrange is Good...No Base and Highs"

1 stars  | on by dondapatirc

Pros

Fits well into the ear.

Cons

Lacks Base
Lacks Highs

Summary

If you need quality from this earphones...DON'T EXPECT. They lack the clarity and Base. It doesn't satisfy basic things in an earphone. Sorry Philips...ITS BAD.
