"Best headphones for under $20, hands down" on by Gizmo95

Pros: Excellent sound quality; very affordable; durable; light

    Cons: L-shaped cord insert

Summary: I found these headphones as a replacement for the pathetic, tinny-sounding ear buds that came with my iPod. The price was more than reasonable and I liked the behind-the-ear design.

I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality -- deep bass without any distortion when I raised the volume; clear, crisp highs. Also, the Bass beat vents allow air movement for better overall sound.

As for it's durability, I have had no issues with it. I have slept with them on; used them while working out at the gym; stuffed them in my overcrowded bag while rushing to work, and they have survived throughout thus far. I also liked the fact that the cord is covered by a nylon/cotton material. This adds to its durability and lessens its tendency to curl up.

Comfort-wise, the headphones fit quite nicely over the ears and the ear pads add to its snugness. I had no issues while wearing them over extended periods.

Overall, I don't think you can get a better set of headphones for this price.

"Great sound quality, terrible durability" on by absentgod

Pros: Sound quality better than most headphones

    Cons: 2-3 month lifespan

Summary: The sound quality of these headphones is great, and I can't stand to have anything less. But I have never had a pair of Philips brand wrap-around headphones that lasted longer than 2-3 months before one of the speakers starts fizzling out. They are not durable at all. And worse, they actually downgraded them from a sturdy L-shaped jack to a straight jack that is much more fragile. The problem is always in the jack.

"Great sound quality for price, first set lasted 5 years" on by nnarcosis

Pros: Well thought out design, cord is tough, restrainer works well
Sound is great-in the 20 bucks range you get great sound quality.
They last the distance-my last pair lasted 5 years, only changed them because ear foam worn
Bargain, we've all kicked a goal

Cons: cant really think of any, I could ask for better sound but without making the ear piece larger to encase the whole ear it wont happen, plus the price would have to go up.

Summary: Cant go wrong if your happy with the neck strap and ear piece shape

"Best Bang for your Buck Headphones!" on by photoshooter2010

Pros: *Sound Quality, Comfortable, Bass Response, overall good design, and the little relief system it has at the headphones.

Cons: only lil' con i have is if you don't push these headphones on your ears correctly, they irritate, but not too bad.

Summary: I like this product because of the sound quality that it produces, its great! The bass in these headphones are pretty decent, much more than i can say for most sub $20 headphones that i have previously tried. The little relief system is a nice little touch because if you drop your ipod or it falls out of your pocket, it wont rip at the cord loosening the wires on the inside of the headphones it will only "bungee'" when it is pulled, which is great.I would definitely recommend these headphones to anyone who is looking for a good quality headphone for a good price. oh, and i would purchase these again if they were to ever break.
