"Terrible quality--broke in 3 months!"
0.5 starson by natejohnstonePros: Great sound, decent line-of-sight range
Cons: FLIMSY!!, Pioneer doesn't stand by products, consumes batteries quickly
Summary: I bought these in May, they broke 3 months later. When spending this much money on a pair of headphones, one would expect high build-quality. But each headphone is connected to the headset by a tiny swivel mechanism--nice for comfort, bad for endurance. The left headphone broke off of the headset while I was removing them from my head--GENTLY!
I'm very careful with my things, seriously, and I've never broken something like this. Even if these were $20 headphones, I would not expect them to brake this easily! If you're going to manufacture something this "nice" with a tiny tension-bearing swivel it needs to be made of metal not cheap plastic.
Pioneer won't cover this under the warranty because I purchased them on eBay--even though they were new and unopened. Terrible customer's service, terrible build quality.
Do NOT buy these headphones unless you have $300 to burn every few months.

It took me knocking them off a table to break my first pair - after a year. Had the replacement I bought for 2 years, now. Holding up fine - of course, I've been bright enough not to drop them on our tile floor.

I also agree with your review. Although the electronics is stellar, the construction is flawed big time. The left side yoke broke 3 weeks after I bought them and then the right side broke 2 weeks after that. I called pioneer and they will not stand behind them and needless to say I will never buy Pioneer again. I have invested a lot in my two flat screen systems and needless to say, I will not buy pioneer again. very diappointing. they need to stand up and do the right thing.
