Great sounding with proper EQ.

Pros: Great bass. Wide range. Comfortable foam/fabric ear padding. Sweat-free and comfortable with glasses.

Cons: Sound curve needs to be flat or else there is way too much bass.

Review: The HD415's are close to the bottom of the line (read inexpensive) Sennheiser full sized headphones, yet offer great sound. They are solidly built and the fabric covered foam earpieces let your ears breath while still surrounding them. These headphones do not cup your ears like headphones that have a circle of padding with a hole in the center, but rather sit on top of and mould themselves to your ears. The large diaphragm offers a wide dynamic range, but sound boomy if you use the standard equalizer curve. These headphones sound better with the EQ turned off. The 10 foot headphone cord is far too long to use as portable headphones unless you tie them up, but I like to wear them on walks in cold weather anyways. They come with a 1/8 to 1/4 inch adapter plug that screws on, so if all you use is 1/4 inch you would never know that a 1/8 plug is inside it. I would take off half a star because I have to re-adjust my EQ when using these headphones with my mp3 player.

Excellent sound quality and definitely a good buy!

Pros: Reasonable price, Excellent sound quality & bass. Clear, excellent for hifi use, comfortable, easily adjustable to suit your head

Cons: Hardly any. would be better with a volume control and a longer cord as it's for TV use

Review: After researching for several weeks for information on good headphones for Hi-Fi/TV use, I had bought Sony MDR-XD100s. Being very disappointed with them, I soon saw some Sennheiser headphones, a brand that i knew I could trust to deliver good quality headphones, and after buying the HD415, I must say they are excellent. they are excellent for almost any type of music, and work great with movies and TV, producing high quality sound. The headphone is also very comfortable.

In all honesty, it's hard to find anything wrong with these headphones. The design is a bit weird for some people, and I can see why that is, but it doesnt bother me as they are always attached to the tv (and not brought outside my house), so i dont get annoyed by how it looks. It could benefit from a volume control and slightly longer cord (I have to now buy a cord extender) .. the headphones cord is about 3 metres.

Overall I was very pleased with these headphones. Although they arent the best obviously, their value for money Vs. Sound quality has made me a proud owner of them.

Well done Sennheiser!

It's a fact ..not every headphone suits everyone's head. Therefore when buying a headphone, try out demo 'display' models or if thats not possible, buy something with a money back 'change of mind' guarantee.

Good luck finding suitable headphones!
