"I didn't expect this from Sennheiser :(" on by Roger_32
Pros: Comfort, Build Quality
Cons: Sound quality on mid-range
Summary: I bought these headphones and had to return them 1 hour later.
I had Sennheiser heaphones before (HD 475) and was very happy with them, but these were very bad in sound quality.
The problem is that all the mid and high range is very uneven, and the sound can be quite harsh, sounding like a $30 headphones.
After browsing the net, i found that i'm not alone in my opinion, and amazingly, the Sennheiser HD-555 are way better than these and only cost an aditional $10.
I got the HD-555's and i'm very pleased with them: they have good bass, but with a much more even mid-range and a softer and detailed high-range.
Do yourself a favour and spend the additional $10. -
"Brilliant sound reproduction! No distortion." on by Craig Wattrus
Pros: Great bass, classical music reproduction.
Cons: Open structure allows everyone to hear your music.
Summary: Great headphones that give you great flexibility between different genres of music. Comfortable pads that stay glued to your head. I found that most negative reciews on these headphones were inaccurate as my pair is brilliant.

"Fits over my ears for hours of comfortable studying" on by Jablo
Pros: Large enough to fit perfectly over ears
very hq sound for movies, songs, and voice recordings
very loudCons: Not isolating at all, even at lowest settings neighbor can hear me
slightly hard surface on inside of ear piece, have to position it perfectly
VERY LARGESummary: I bought these to listen to lectures in grad school. They work amazingly in that respect. On top of that, started to listen to some of my favorite songs and movies, and heard things I never heard before. Was never a big audiophile, but I now want to listen to new songs with these head phones to see the difference.
BTW, i have huge ears that protrude out, and these fit over them; so no concern there. -
"Really disappointed by this headphones!!" on by joecand
Pros: They look nice.Thats all.
Cons: The sound in the middle and high frequencies is as bad as a 10? headphones. Really a big disappointment. My Sony mdr-7506 sound like 1000? product compared to this. I don t know how this brand can put this product as Audiophile....

"A very good sounding headphone that's a joy to wear and listen to." on by baumaxx1
Pros: Great for rock, good bass, light, comfortable, detailed sound, changeable parts for longetivity, long cable, materials don't make you sweat
Cons: Weird big to little adaptor which is chunky, press on ears a bit, bass can be overpowering on certain sources, but fine if you can adjust the equaliser, treble a bit weaker than bass,
Summary: "Hooked up to our iPod, however, the HD 515s sounded too bright and forward and wouldn't play terribly loud. The iPod didn't seem happy driving the 515s, which means they definitely won't be a good match for other MP3 players, most of which are much less powerful than Apple's trendsetting model."
Hmmm... didn't find that problem on a nano... and my Zen copes really well with all music, even drum and bass.
Rock is excellent on these headphones though. Great for frets on fire.
