Pros: Sound? No pros. Would not recommend.

Summary: I bought these headphones (reluctantly, due to the green color which makes me feel ill ) at a Virgin Megastore while I was on vacation and needed some headphones after my old ones broke. I love the Sennheiser brand and have had great results with my other Senn headphones. I bought these headphones based on my knowledge of the Sennheiser brand, the price ($30ish range, can't remember exactly) and the fact that they were advertised as "sport" earphones.
The headphones are terrible in almost every regard.
Color:
The green is a disgusting, not hip/cool/good looking at all.
Fit:
I've tried both of the included plastic rings to see if I can get them to fit into my ears. They don't. The earphones are kind of shaped like small tuna cans and don't seem to have any real way to make them stick in your ears. There's not really a pronounced rim or lip that helps them stay put when I put them into my ears. They fall out when I ride my bike. I also can't seem to make them "point" in the right direction to give me the best sound quality.
Construction:
The aforementioned rubber circles that ring the edges of the earphones fall off.
The magnets on the back of the headphones work fine, but are basically useless.
The included case barely fits the headphones and causes them to become completely tangled and ensnared.
Weight:
The headphone cord is split in two, which is a potentially nice touch. However the segment used to join the headphones together is very, very heavy and bulky. I bought them to use running, cycling, at the gym, skiing, etc. When you run, the cord connector bounces up and down like crazy. Doesn't seem like it would be a big deal, but it is very poor design and incredibly annoying to deal with.
Even the little clip used to connect the cord to your shirt is at least three/four times larger/heavier than on my Etymotics.
The cord itself is very beefy. Again, much thicker than the iPod headphones and way, way thicker than on my Etymotic Research phones.
Sound:
Sound is probably the best part of these headphones, but not spectacular sounding. Base seemed lacking.
BOTTOM LINE:
I would never recommend these headphones to anyone, and could not imagine buying them again. Unless you were nuts for neon green... -

Pros: Neutral sound. Open-air type. With foam buds, you'll get an astounding bass. Excellent mids. All-rounder. Value for money.
Cons: The color. Although the magnets keep the heads together and help to minimize the tangles, the cord still gets tangled. Need proper placement in the ear to get the bass you want.
Summary: I buy phones for the sound, the looks is secondary. Nowadays most earphones are in-ear but I prefer open-air type. I like to still hear my surroundings while I listen to music, kinda having a background music :) Most of the time, I just want to listen to music NOT to shut the world out.
This is just excellent but it I needed a burn in period before I got used to it. My previous set was Sony's then top-of-the line MDR.
Open air type earphones give better bass when you put them foam on. This one is the same. As you would expect in a little pricey phones, the mids (vocals) in MX 70 is excellent. The highs are also not bright. The bass, although needs some tweaking, is not boomy, deep but just right. I'm rating this as all-rounder. -

Pros: Excellent sound and volume control
Cons: the cable is WORST. Never deserved to be called SPORT HEADPHONE.
Summary: I've been a sennheiser fan for more than 5 years & i have several collections of MX series. All of my old sennheisers performed excellently, but this MX 70 is the worst of all. Yet, the most expensive i bought.
2 weeks after buying my mx70, a tiny crack in the wire started. Days after, the crack got so big that exposed the conductor wires. I returned the product then for replacement.
4 days after using the new one, a small crack again appeared w/c then grew longer after days. Again, I claimed my warranty w/c then gave me another new unit.
I acquired the new unit 12/5/08.
On 12/9/08, the entire connection between the lower wire and volume control ripped apart, literally exposing all the conductor wires.
Once again, I asked for warranty and demanded for model replacement. Im willing to add additional fee for model replacement rather having the same failure product.
THe sound is excellent, no doubt about it; but the cable is too bad. It really is the worst headphone ive ever used.
I never used my mx70 irresponsibly. I never even used it for sports, even thou IT IS DESIGNED FOR SPORT (thats why its called MX70 SPORT); IT SHOULD WITHSTAND TOUGH HANDLING.
Dont get me wrong, I am not judging all of the Sennheisers' products. I am particularly referring to the Insulation material that was used for the MX sport series headphones.
Still, I admire the sound quality standard of your products.
I am hoping Senhheiser people would read this blog. -
"Enjoyed the sound but the fit is not fit" on by jimloveland
Pros: Good highs, very little bass
Cons: fall out of my ear, not ears. Left ear good fit, right ear just does not work
Summary: Okay, I bought these to replace the ear buds that came with my IPOD. I was really happy with them until they broke. Fit was outstanding. I mountain bike and I never lost them. As for these, there's no way that will happen. Looks like I'm in the market for a new pair. Any suggestions?
