Pros I have run roughly 1750 miles (2816 kilometers) with these headphones. Awesome durability. Above Average Comfort. I was just looking for a comfortable and durable headphone to run in.
Cons Not great for lifting weights. Not for people who to lie down (neckband gets in the way). Sound in the right bud comes and goes.
Summary For running, one of the best. Working out, don't bother.
Pros Good fit, good sound quality
Cons Ordinary quality. Plastic faded, screws rusted, jack falls out
Summary Amazed at the poor quality of the build. Really very poor.
Pros stayed place while running, and sweat did not drown out the sound
Cons to expensive to risk not breaking
Summary stay away
Pros Good for podcasts.
Seem pretty sturdy.
Stay on head well.
Cons No bass to speak of. Poor for music.
Hard to fit with sunglasses.
Summary I bought these to replace a pair of V-Moda in-ear headphones. I primarily use headphones to listen to podcasts and music while running, and decided to go with these instead of an in-ear design so I could hear my surroundings a bit better. The reviews I read before buying the Sennheiser's indicated the bass response wasn't that great, and after my V-Moda's I'd say this is a gross understatement. The sound quality is quite tinny. I wasn't expecting the bass to match my V-Moda's, but I was expecting better than I got. For listening to podcasts this isn't a big deal, but whenever I listen to music I'm disappointed. Also, it's a pain to get these to fit well when I'm also wearing sunglasses: again the in-ear design is better. But, they do stay in place better than the in-ear models, which is a plus. Overall, I wish I'd bought another pair of in-ear models (V-Moda or whatever).
Pros Good while they lasted.
Cons Either the right or left headphone stops working after three months usage, the wire casing falls apart making them unusable. See here: http://sites.google.com/a/empower3w.com/3w/files/headphones.jpg
Summary I have now purchased three pairs of Sennheiser sports headphones and all three have fallen apart or stopped working after no more than three month usage. The wire casing falls apart and on all three headphones either the right or left headphone has stopped working. You can view how these headphones look after a few months here: http://sites.google.com/a/empower3w.com/3w/files/headphones.jpg
I have contacted Sennheiser "customer service" department on three occasions and they have never responded to my emails. Do NOT purchase.
