"Better than average audio range, but if you are looking for noise cancelling this is not the headset" on by OlyTac

    Pros: Great stereo sound

Cons: Noise cancelling function is no better than the $24 dollar set I have now.

Summary: The range of sound this unit gives you is excellent. Noise cancelling is only achieved by pressing the earphones firmly against your ears. I'm trading it in on a different make and model. It's nowhere close to being worth the price of $169.00.

    "Remarkable" on by Arglebargle

Pros: Compact, comfortable, does a great job

Cons: Makes hiss, only blocks low freqs

Summary: I had great fun walking around the house with
these earphones not even plugged into anything: the kitchen fan noise vanishes, my footsteps are inaudible, and the "thunk" sounds from typing this on my computer keyboard is gone.

All higher frequency sounds still come through, so don't expect it to block out your noisy cubiclemates. You will hear everything around you; it's just the incessant drone of things like ventilation, computer fans, etc etc that magically goes away.

They are very comfortable: the pads are
very soft, molding onto the ears the way
    they should.

What I love is I can finally listen to music without having to turn it up to overpower background noise and ruining my hearing in the process.

My only complaint is that the cancellation adds a very noticeable hiss. The hiss doesn't go up with volume, fortunately, so it's really only an issue on quiet parts, and since they remove more noise than they add I can't complain.

They're well built, fold nicely into nothing, and comes with a nice pouch and adapters, and they sound really great.

I recommend them for anybody who wants to add some silence into their lives.

"Compact, Sturdy, Comfortable and Effective" on by scukanec

    Pros: Small and Effective

    Cons: Belt electronics

Summary: The unit is comfortable and effective. The noise reduction is comparable to the BOSE system and is at half the price. System will play music even if the batteries wear out. Battery life is reasonable.

"Great sound. Good noise reduction" on by XIKWIT

    Pros: Light weight, good sound

    Cons: battery pack bulky

Summary: If not for the battery pack these would be perfect! The sound is great and the noise cancellation made flying so much more relaxing.

The noise cancellation is a bit deceptive. You might think they are not working but after 2 or 3 hours on a plan, the difference is HUGE.

I tried a pair of bose but for well over twice the price, there was not real difference in sound quality.

Panansonic makes a great cheap pair. Sound is not that great but the noise cancellation is almost as good.

My wife uses them when we drive. She too found them great for cutting out the road noise and making the music sound much better.

    "Sensible alternative to Bose" on

Pros: Cancels external noise by 60% Good sound, lightweight, comfortable, easily folds up for carrying.

Cons: Control stalk a little cumbersome, wires a little too short
